I live in the small mountain town of Rico, Colorado, but have called the entire western slope of Colorado home since 1996. I began my journey into midwifery as a prenatal yoga instructor. I wanted to learn more about my pregnant students, so I became a doula. After attending my first home birth as a doula a light came on inside. I applied to Midwifery School the next day! Since attending my first birth in 2002 I have emerged with an education and a deep appreciation for what women experience during pregnancy, labor and birth. I feel it is my privilege and great joy to support women during this most precious time. I have attended hundreds of births as a Coloroado doula and a midwife.
